A Game that Lets You Make Your Own Space Station

Stationeers is a video game wherein a player is expected to create his own space station and manage it.

Space Simulation

Stationeers is a space simulation game where the player is expected to build and manage the space station, including its inhabitants. The task is a lot more complex than bartending or doing janitor work. Also, you can grow plants and rear animals in space. The job may even entail rescuing aliens or finding patients and providing them medical care. To gather resources, players may even have to visit some asteroids.Other highlight features are atmospheric systems such as combustion and pressure, factories, gravity simulation, mining and surgeries. These complex systems and tasks have been designed keeping the hardcore gamer in mind. The game puts forward an array of science-related survival issues that the player must address by himself.

Multiplayer Support

The game can be played as a single player, and then there are multiplayer options as well. It’s best played in big groups, as that makes managing things easier and a lot more fun. Playing the game alone is also exciting, but that would also mean micro-managing multiple systems. Stationeers is a niche game, primarily due to the domain it focusses on. The game is easy to play, but fairly difficult to master, and that’s where the challenge truly is. The end objective of the makers is to make the game exciting and also a bit scary.

PROS

  • Multi-player game
  • Basic space science education

CONS
